  • Description: Forest Orders. This is an online web map that shows Forest Orders. Fire restrictions, closures, and other restrictions like motor vehicle and camping restrictions. There is one Regional map in AGOL with multiple embedded web maps in the Forests public web pages. Each Forest in the Region has their own embedded web map that zooms to their Forest. The map is pan able across all Forests in the Region. The data comes from 11 individual Forest SDE geodatabases that are managed by the individual Forests. The data is mined from the Forests geodatabases and added to the ArcServer feature service several times a day with FME (Feature Manipulation Engine) with a scheduler. The map service is date sensitive to start and end dates of the orders. When end dates come the order is automatically removed from the service. Prior to start dates orders are displayed in green and labeled future order. Popups for the orders have links to the actual order documents on the Forest Service web pages. The Arc Server map service is displayed in an AGOL web map that is utilized for the embedded web maps.
