We have a lot of last minute details for you, so let’s not spend time with introductory remarks here, just read on...
Keynote: Bern Szukalski
This year's keynote is none other than Bern Szukalski, Esri's Chief Technology Advocate and Product Strategist. Bern is a popular and engaging speaker with over 30 years of GIS experience. You may recognize his name from the many blogs that he writes or perhaps you've seen him present at the Esri UC Plenary.
Bern will talk about how the evolution of GIS provides us opportunities to rethink what we do and how we work. You won't want to miss his keynote on Rethinking GiS.
New this year! Esri Solutions Engineers will be on hand at the Symposium to help you with some of those pesky situations you may find yourself in.
Having trouble with spatial joins? Is your web app making you crazy? Did Steve use the wrong projection on your data...again? Not to worry, Esri Solutions Engineers can help! You’ll get 30 minutes of their undivided attention. Space is limited and you must sign up to reserve a spot.
There are still a few hands-on workshops with spaces available. Remember, seating is limited in these hands-on workshops, so you must be registered to attend. Online registration for workshops closes at 5pm Saturday, September 16th.
If you are registered to attend one of these amazing (yes, they're that good!) workshops but suddenly discover you have a conflict and can't make it, please let us know. We have a growing list of people waiting for a spot.
In between presentations we have scheduled 30 minute breaks. These are your opportunities to check out the vendor exhibits and visit the Maps & Apps Gallery. The maps will be on display in the foyer outside the Ballroom. A laptop will be available at the registration desk for you to check out the Apps.
While you're checking out all the innovative apps and design-inspiring posters/maps, don't forget to vote for your favorites! Support the hard work of your colleagues and vote for:
Best Analytical Poster Presentation
Best Cartographic Design Poster/Map
Most Innovative Use of Technology for an Application
Ballots will be available at the registration desk.
Be sure to join us for appetizers at the Maps & Apps Gallery Showcase on Wednesday evening. Winners of the Maps & Apps Challenge will be announced at the Exhibitor Social on Thursday evening in the Ballroom.
it's a tough job feeding over 250 geospatial geeks, but the chefs at the Prescott Resort and Conference Center do a good job of keeping up with our unique tastes. So, if you're wondering what will be on your plate this year, check out the food and beverage menu.

If you haven't made hotel reservations yet, you'll most likely have to make them at one of the overflow hotels. You may get lucky and find a spot at the conference hotel (details here), but we've been told that the conference hotel is fully booked.
