Volunteer of the Year Nomination
This year we are expanding the Volunteer of the Year award to two awards:
- AGIC Chairperson's Volunteer of the Year
- Arizona Geospatial Volunteer of the Year
How do these awards differ?
The AGIC Chairperson's Volunteer of the Year award will recognize a volunteer who has contributed to the AGIC mission through their participation on one of AGIC's workgroups or the committees at large. This award is specific to volunteers working on AGIC programs and projects.
The Arizona Geospatial Volunteer of the Year award will recognize a volunteer who has contributed significant time and geospatial expertise to promote and enhance the use of geospatial technology in Arizona. Examples include, but are not limited to, volunteering at a school to help students learn about geospatial topics or using geospatial knowledge and skills as a volunteer to support community or non-profit organizations. Essentially any type of volunteer work in Arizona that involves the use of geospatial knowledge, skills, and abilities is eligible for this award.
As we do each year, we are reaching out to the Arizona geospatial community to nominate candidates for these Volunteer of Year awards. If you know of someone who has contributed their time and geospatial expertise in Arizona, give them the recognition they deserve by nominating them for one of these awards. To nominate, simply complete the the form below.
