This is a dual panel web map featuring data from the Global Terrorism Database of terrorism attacks in Europe from 2015-2017. The two map panels were constructed with Javascipt's Leaflet library. The top panel exhibits terrorist attacks by type and utilizes Leaflet's clustering method to avoid crowding the map when zoomed out. Moreover, the web map viewer can filter the map by attack type with the drop-down menu filter beneath the map pane. The bottom map pane is also symbolized by attack type but can be filtered by target type with the drop-down menu filter beneath the map pane. Underneath the map pane, the viewer can access worldwide data of the same time period. On the left, there is a list of the top 10 most victimized countries by terrorist attacks each year from 2015-2017. On the right, a bar graph symbolizing attack types by category. The data list and graph were constructed with JavaScript's D3 (Data-Driven Documents) library.
