GISP: what it is and how to get it

Abstract: This presentation is a review of the GIS Professional program by the GIS Certification Institute. We will discuss the certification process, history, exam and the vision of the future. We will discuss what it takes to become a certified GIS Professional today, what to expect from the test as well as some advice to students and young professionals.

Richard Chappell is a Consultant/Systems Engineer with extensive experience in the design, development, implementation and management of information systems, Project Management, workflow analysis, and Business Process Management. He is particularly focused on geospatial, asset management and operations systems.
