Maps & Apps Challenge
Submissions Due: Midnight, September 7, 2018
Show your geospatial colleagues the exciting projects you have worked on this past year. Submit a poster/map, web app, mobile app, or Story Map. Get recognized and get points towards GIS Professional (GISP) certification!
The People's Choice Awards will be selected with online voting. All maps, apps, and story maps will be available for viewing in our online gallery. Voting begins September 10th.
Students! This year there is an all new Best Student Poster category. Submit your best work and you could bring home bragging rights with a People's Choice Award. All work completed during academic endeavors over the past year is eligible.

Student Scholarship Applications
Deadline: 5pm, Friday, August 31, 2018 extended to midnight, tonight - Friday, September 7

Calling all geospatial students!
AGIC is offering 10 Student Scholarships to attend the 2018 AGIC Education & Training Symposium. Scholarships cover conference registration and lodging. These scholarships are offered in memory of Tony Gonzales, a valued member of the Arizona GIS community who was committed to the advancement of GIS and GIS education throughout the state.
Scholarships will be awarded to Arizona GIS students (currently enrolled and recent graduates) whose work best promotes GIS or GIS education in Arizona. Brand new students, just starting this fall, may also apply by sharing their academic goals as they relate to promoting GIS and/or GIS education in the state.
All students are encouraged to apply! Full details and application are available online

HANDS ON WORKSHOP SPOTLIGHT
 The Many Uses of EMAP 2.0
EMAP (EMergency Address Portal) is a web-based application to help the Arizona public safety community improve their GIS data for emergency responses. Anyone who works with addresses throughout Arizona can benefit from this workshop.
